The Mission of the Chief Technologist
Working with WATER, SALINITY, ELECTRICITY to redefine durability of our systems
You will be the visionary architect and technical cornerstone of our company. Your mission is to lead the evolution of our core technology, ensuring it remains best-in-class, scalable, and profoundly impactful. You will translate our ambitious business goals into technical reality, driving innovation that directly contributes to water security, soil regeneration, and global sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Vision & Strategy:
- Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap, aligning with company objectives to scale from single farms to entire communities.
- Anticipate future trends in renewable energy, desalination, precision agriculture, and IoT to keep ReGen at the forefront of the industry.
- Make critical architectural decisions on system design, software, and data strategy.
- Research & Development (R&D) Leadership:
- Lead the R&D team in pioneering advancements in solar thermal desalination efficiency, energy storage, and brine concentration management.
- Induction Sensor

- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as the technical voice of the company for investors, partners, and major clients (e.g., government agencies, large-scale agricultural cooperatives).
- Collaborate with the product team to translate customer feedback and market needs into technical requirements.
- Mentor and grow a world-class team of engineers, scientists, and software developers.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Advanced degree Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in leading deep-tech R&D, with a proven track record of taking hardware-based technology from concept to commercial deployment.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following: thermal desalination processes, solar thermal energy systems, fluid dynamics, or membrane technology.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, IoT, and software for real-time system optimization and control.
- Experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performance technical teams.
- A passion for sustainability and a deep belief in our mission to solve water and food security challenges.
Highly Desired:
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where agility and rapid iteration are key.
- Proven success in developing and managing a patent portfolio.
- Knowledge of precision agriculture, hydroponics, or soil science.
- Experience working with modular and scalable system design.
