Assembly Engineer – Solar Desalination Units

ReGen Technology Holdings Limited is a Hong Kong-based green technology startup developing solar desalination, water technology and regenerative environmental systems.

We are looking for a practical Assembly Engineer to build, test and continuously improve our modular desalination units. You will work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to turn designs into reliable, field-ready hardware.

This is a hands-on role. Formal university credentials matter less to us than real assembly experience, attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for the product.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and test modular solar desalination units and sub-assemblies
• Fit and finish plastic housings, manifolds, connectors and water-tight seals
• Follow and improve assembly instructions, jigs and quality checklists
• Run basic functional and leak tests on assembled units
• Identify assembly issues and suggest practical design or process improvements
• Keep the workshop organised and maintain tools and test equipment
• Support the R&D team with prototype builds and design feedback

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience with plastic assembly, water systems, plumbing or similar hardware
• Familiarity with seals, fittings, tubing, filters or fluid-handling components
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and basic measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, reliable workmanship
• Passionate about ReGen's mission and product
• Good at spotting problems and giving clear feedback on improvements
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and assembly instructions
• English communication skills; Cantonese or Mandarin a plus
